Project 1236
A home for a growing, young family ‘semigrating’ from Johannesburg in search of a coastal way of life on the North Coast of KZN. The courtyard approach of the home was integral to maximise the sea views and the estate’s greenbelt whilst protecting the family from the south and north easterly winds, all the while drawing in an abundance of natural light which was imperative for this family. The living area, set as a glass pavilion, allows for uninterrupted views through the house from the central courtyard, entertainment area and pool. Due to the natural fall of the site, the bedrooms are tucked under the living area establishing them as private node for the family, disconnected from the social areas of the home.
